B14 Carbon Fibre Tiller Extension

from £86.40

Ready to win races, look no further than the FM Sailing B14 Carbon Fibre Tiller Extension.

Superlight, superstiff, and superfast, our tubes are pullwound and manufactured in an epoxy matrix.
The carbon fibre is multi-layered, internally pull braided, and externally wound with a double helix braid. This provides exceptional resistance to bending and torsional forces.

As strong as you can make a tube, if a sailor falls off the rack and puts their full weight through a tiller extension, nine times out of ten it’s going to snap.
For our skiff-style extensions, we’ve remodelled our end fittings so that we can tie on a length of dyneema to run through the middle of the carbon tube. This means that if you do have a little mishap and end up swimming around with two short tiller extensions instead of one long one, they will be held together and can be temporarily bodged with a load of tape wrapped around the break point. This means you can turn a DNF into a semi-respectable result, or simply nurse your boat back to shore safely.

We think this makes our tiller extensions a cut above the rest.
But as well as being high performance, we also wanted our tiller extensions to be more personal, so we made them super-customisable!

  • 3 different tube diameters to choose from, depending on whether you like it slender, chunky, or somewhere inbetween.

  • 3D printed end knobs available in a variety of colours, and with a chunky or streamlined profile.

  • Heatshrink grip tubing, available in a variety of colours, or not at all!

  • 3D printed inserts, so your Universal Joint (UJ) fits perfectly, and is easy to replace.

  • Choice of Allen or Seasure Universal Joint (UJ)

Upon adding product to cart, you will be prompted to fill out our customization form to pick your heatshrink grip colours .etc.
