Developed alongside legendary sailmaker and sailor extraordinaire Thomas Lonsdale, we developed a top quality GRP tiller extension as a high performance, wallet friendly alternative to our Carbon Fibre tiller extensions.
Currently the only option for tiller extensions that aren't carbon are aluminium, but we think fibreglass tubing offers some key benefits…
Why choose GRP over an Aluminium extension?
Performance - our GRP tubes are laid up in the same way as our carbon tubes, so they’re still really stiff and strong, more so than an Aluminium tube.
User friendly - coming out at 20mm diameter (approx 22mm once you add the heatshrink grip), we think this is a really comfortable tiller extension, giving you more grip than your standard Aluminium extension.
Customisable - just like our carbon tiller extensions, you can customise the GRP extensions to have your choice of end knob colour & profile, grip tube colour, and universal joint (UJ) type.
