Admiral Trailers Road Base

from £995.00

The Admiral Trailers road base is a simple design that belies its excellent performance.

The gold standard in the dinghy world, Admiral Trailers are made in the UK. With a galvanized steel chassis, you can be assured that you’ll drive away with a top quality product that is built to last. Why trust anything else to transport your pride and joy?

Key Features:

Axle - Torsion style rubber suspension beams are generally not well suited to carrying relatively lightweight dinghies. They require a heavy load to get them working. For this reason, the Alko soft bump axle is a much better solution. It is more expensive, but due to its unusual shape, designed to start working with much lighter loads.

Lights – The forward facing lights sit just inside the outside edge of the mudguards and provide a reassuring focus point when towing. Especially after dark! LED lightbulbs in this position mean there’s no need to think about changing faulty bulbs.

Adjustable trolley location pin – An adjustable pin is fitted so that you can carry different length launching trolleys.
The 220 road base is adjustable for boats between 10 to 12.5 feet in length.
The 250 road base is adjustable for boats between 10 to 15 feet in length.
The 275 road base is adjustable for boats between 13 to 16.5 feet in length.

Optional Upgrade:

10in wheels – If you’re going to and from the sailing club twice a year then the 8in wheels are perfectly adequate for the trailer. If the plan is to go further afield, cruising or attending open meetings then the 10in wheels are well worth the extra expense. It’s a much smoother, and quieter, ride for you and your dinghy.

All trailers come supplied with mast support, lighting board, and lighting arms included.
Short lighting arms fitted as standard, which are used to mount the lighting board when the road base is towed empty. Once the boat is loaded the lighting arms are stored on the trailer so they are out of the way and the lighting board is attached to the stern of the boat as it normally is.
Long 2.5m lighting arms can be supplied free of charge if required - please contact us when placing your order.

Standard lead time for trollies & trailers is 3-4 weeks. Due to the large size and weight of the trailers, we are unable to post them, we can deliver around the UK but this will be at additional cost.
